Party 5. Parkville History Tour
Sunday, March 21, 2010, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Step back in time to 19th century Parkville, along the Sacramento River east of Anderson. After visiting Parkville Cemetery with local historian Dottie Smith, you will tour the DuBose Ranch. The ranch encompasses a more than 100-year-old wood framed house, two dairy barns, a silo, a blacksmith shop, and an artifact collection. Partake of a lunch buffet while you explore the historic home and enjoy live fiddle music. Later, enjoy a one-mile hike along Bear Creek to view the salmon spawning grounds. To complete this amazing day, enjoy a 30-minute stagecoach ride through the ranch. Meet at Parkville Cemetery
Hosted by Sandy DuBose, Dottie Smith and Susan & Bill Keller
Tickets: SLT members $35/adult, $15/child 12 and under; non-members $38/adult, $17/child 12 and under. Limited to 25 guests.
