RESCHEDULED : Clover Creek Fish Ladder Event

We are happy to announce that due to scheduling needs and a busy spring, the clover creek fish ladder event is rescheduled to Saturday, September 30, 2017.

Fish are passing into this section of Clover Creek for the first time in 100 years! Up into ten miles of Clover Creek that were unavailable to them before these two passage improvements were built this summer. Fish are showing up in the high tech video feed already. The project also made improvements to the water diversion and data collection for the water that serves many local landowners.

This was a large collaborative project with many agencies and landowners. About ten years in the making - this project was implemented this past summer, and fish have already made their way up into the new ten miles of habitat.

At this event, you will have an opportunity to see the new fish ladders and learn what made this conservation success possible. From July through December, Chinook migrate upstream as adults and spawn from early October through late December. As you tour the land and see the fish ladder, you may get a glimpse of the Chinook migration upstream.

Join us as we are introduced to the project by the landowner and agency partners. Take this opportunity to bring young people out to see conservation in action - and for a hay ride on the property, lunch in the Buckeye grove, and if weather permits - s'mores around a campfire.
