Dinner and Creek Exploring on a Beautiful Fall Evening
On September 30th from 5:00-8:00pm, come enjoy this celebration with kids activities and dinner along Clover Creek on the 5,000 acre Bar 11 Ranch in Millville. You and your friends and family will enjoy an elegant dinner under the trees, with local beer and wine, white table cloths and all! We hope you bring your kids – this is definitely a family-friendly event.
This conservation success deserves to be celebrated. Fish are passing into this section of Clover Creek for the first time in 100 years! This project removed a barrier built in the 1920's, opening 10 miles of habitat to Chinok Salmon and other migrating fish. At the same time, valuable upgrades were made for providing water to local ranchers. Many people and agencies in our community collaborated to make this project a success and you will have a chance to meet some of them and hear their stories about the science and outcomes for fish and ranchers.
You will have an opportunity to explore the creek and the new fish ladders and learn what made this conservation success possible. Join us as we are introduced to the project by the landowner and agency partners. In the event of rain, dinner will be served in the hay barn.
