Scattered throughout the Lassen Volcanic National Park's forested areas are stands of old growth trees that can live more than 300 years. Learn more about the diverse mix of pines, firs, and other tree species as you are led on a snowshoeing expedition beginning at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitors Center. Shasta College Botany Professor, Susannah Fulton will share her knowledge about the conifer species found in this winter wonderland. Snowshoes will be provided, lunch and warm drinks are included.
